Savannah Georgia is often thought to be one of the most haunted city in America. One of the most interesting stories, I think, is the one about Rene and his underground lair. As the story goes, Rene Ash Randoiler, a supposed French-Huguenowas immigrant was born in 1777. He immigrated to Savannah Georgia in one of the worst parts of town. Because his appearance was like nothing anyone had ever seen before people tried to stay away from him as much as they could. He was about 7 feet tall and was covered form head to toe with something like animal fur. People questioned whether he was a monster or not.  He had been seen several times capturing and killing pets and it was said that he would take them to the catacombs of Colonial Park Cemetey to feed on the dead. This was tolerated for a long time by the neighborhood until he murdered a woman and 2 little girls. An angry mob finally hunted him down and killed him. They say that his restless spiit still haunts his underground lair. There is evidence of graves being dug up fro underneath the ground along with bones that have evidence of being gnawed on. Creepy.
